You can join via this link join UCU or by calling the membership team on 0333 207 0719. Monthly subscriptions vary according to salary and consist of the national subscription  plus a local subscription

What happens when you join?

If you join online through the link above you can expect to receive your membership number and other details fairly quickly on the same day.

You will be entitled to advice straight away once your application has been accepted by UCU;  however, for legal and financial advice at York we follow the national UCU guidelines of a conditional period of 90 days following joining.  It is also important to remember that in general we provide advice to colleagues only on problems which have arisen since they became members of the union.  For instructions on how to get assistance, please follow this link to our assistance page here.
